The Rainforest Summit
We are a new grassroots event designed to disrupt the conservation sector by connecting directly with younger generations through culturally relevant events that make a more effective global impact and a longer trending news cycle.
Our mission is to create a global consensus around the current climate crisis, as well as a shared plan of action for bringing awareness to saving the planet’s most essential rainforests. By bringing together scientists, environmental representatives, indigenous voices, plus leaders of the press, our goal is to unify those on the frontlines by helping them chart a path forward for the land, people, and natural species of our disappearing ecosystems around the world.
The first ever Rainforest Summit was held in Brooklyn on Sept 25th, 2019 at the Wythe Hotel during UN Climate Week. Over 250 guests & leaders of their field attended, raising over 40k for the Amazon wildfire crisis that swept the headlines. Beginning with a 4 hour speaker conference and panel discussion, to wrap up the evening guests were treated to a celebration of the South American art, music, food and culture that the summit was created to bring awareness to. By connecting people closer to those most affected by the environmental crisis through engaged discussions, presentation, and musical celebration, guests felt more inclined to contribute & celebrate as if the Amazon was their own responsibility to connect. This is how conservation efforts need to work in the future, and this was our template.
